Bakery & Food Service Trends of the Year launched at GastroPan Trade Fair in Romania

Over 19,800 specialists visited the sixth edition of the most important Romanian exhibition for the bakery, confectionery, ice cream, chocolate, coffee and food service markets. Visitors of GastroPan 2014 discovered various business solutions at the booths of 120 exhibitors from 23 countries. They also experienced lots of competitions and demo shows held by local and international specialists.

Over 19,800 specialists visited the sixth edition of the most important Romanian exhibition for the bakery, confectionery, ice cream, chocolate, coffee and food service markets. Visitors of GastroPan 2014 discovered various business solutions at the booths of 120 exhibitors from 23 countries. They also experienced lots of competitions and demo shows held by local and international specialists.

The exhibition brought together manufacturers, suppliers, operators and personnel from the bakery, confectionery and food service industry, allowing visitors to see the widest range of equipment, supplies, ingredients, accessories and technologies dedicated to their businesses and activities.

Innovative Solutions Setting New Market Trends

At the booths of GastroPan 2014 visitors have found business ideas and technologies that help them diversify their products and menus with new shapes, tastes and varieties, to reduce costs and streamline production. They also found innovative desserts, decorating ideas and many more. Most exhibitors held practical demonstrations in their booths, offering visitors the chance to experiment, test, or sample the novelties proposed by world-class suppliers who attended the event.

Lessons of Creativity in the GastroPan DEMO ZONE

The so-called space of innovation and creativity has attracted thousands of visitors due to practical demonstrations held throughout the exhibition by talented, international award winning bakers, confectioners and cooks. In the Demo Zone visitors could experience the unique techniques of fruit and vegetable carving, flowers and figurines modeling using sugar paste, artistic chocolate sculpting and modeling, sugar or icing modeling, manual gingerbread decorations. Visitors also attended cooking demo shows held by experienced chefs from the country and abroad under the supervision of WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies).

Bread, Cake and Ice Cream of the Year 2014 Awards

GastroPan competitions attracted over 200 competitors at 4 sections and 8 categories. The most wanted prizes were the Bread, Cake and Ice Cream of the Year trophies. Contestants presented impressive artistic pieces made of sourdough bread, chocolate, sugar, but also and fruit and vegetable carvings or ingeniously mounted culinary cold dishes. The talents discovered through these competitions have the guarantee of a successful career, while award-winning products become celebrities in the sales of bakeries, confectioneries and restaurants.
